The Donnybrook Apple Festival is held every two years over the Easter weekend Saturday 3 & Sunday 4rd April 2010.  The next Festival will be the 53nd Apple Festival.  This has been a long tradition not only focusing on the Apple industry but many other  products such as wines produced in the Donnybrook region.

Donnybrook Apple Festival is unique in that it stages a ball where a group of entrants are competing for the title of  "Apple Ambassador ", formerly known as an Apple Queen.  The Donnybrook community is immersed in this tradition,

Lavishly decorated floats carry the entrants through the town centre and on to the main festival grounds.

 

We are currently seeking volunteers & Sub-committees members. No experience required. Are you interested in the parade, entertainment, the ball or just generally helping out on the weekend or just for a day. The parade is held on both Saturday and Sunday and are well attended by visitors from near and far.  Free fresh fruit is distributed along the parade route by the float participants.

The biggest free entry Fun Park in Australia, worth over $2 million, is in Donnybrook WA, which was opened at Easter 2008. The park has play equipment for all ages - from toddlers to teenagers. Even be an adult excercise area.  For more information, click here.

There are a range of activities on the main festival grounds providing non stop entertainment for the entire family such as fashion parades, log chops, farm animals, clowns, sideshow alley, a spectacular fireworks display on Saturday night. We will also have in excess of 100 food and variety stalls including loads of apple and wine giveaways, apple and wine tastings, arts & craft displays, old machinery displays, fruit displays plus many more attractions. 

A Dunny Derby will be run over the two days with several teams competing for prize money.  This has been a tradition of the Apple Festival for some time.

The Donnybrook Apple Festival provides a relaxed atmosphere for all current and former Donnybrook residents and visitors.
